I want my clients to feel very comfortable working with me and in front of my lens! Having your pictures taken can be nerve wracking and many people think it is awkward. I am here to shatter that idea and make your photoshoot a fun experience that you will remember!
FAQ
You may be wondering some things so hopefully this list of frequently asked questions can help you have a better understanding of what to expect during and after your session.
1. What time is best for my photo shoot?
I personally recommend first thing in the morning or around sunset. These times have the best lighting factor and Southwest Florida is hot!
During sunrise and sunset hours, it is not as warm and the sun is "golden."
2. What should I/we wear?
First and foremost, you should be comfortable. It will show it your face and body if you are not, comfort by far, is the most important thing.
I encourage my clients to take pictures if they want and send them to me if you need my opinion on outfits.
I am happy to assist with whatever you want to wear!
I also have a client closet that, depending on your package, you may be able to access.
I also have a complete wardrobe guide I can send to you, once you book.
3. Will you give me all images you take? Do I receive raw (unedited) photos?
No, not every image. Please message me to inquire about how my packages work.
No, raws are never provided.
4. What should I bring?
An open mind and 'ready to have fun' attitude! Life is too short anyways, so I will make sure you have fun and enjoy your photo session.
Props? Please bring whatever props you have and want!
It always helps to run them by me first and even text/e-mail photos of them so I can start my creative process and design expertise.
I will bring whatever I have to help add some extra ump to the shoot.
If you are having a family shoot or anything that requires animals or children, please bring snacks and treats to help bribe them if you see fit (you know your pets and children best so it will be up to your discretion) also a friend or another family member to help is always a great idea!
5. How soon will I receive my images?
The editing process believe it or not, is the most time consuming part of the entire sha-bang!
With that being said, I take my time making sure your images are polished and beautiful, and I want you to LOVE them!
My turn around time, can be anywhere from 5 weeks - 6 weeks.
Elopements & Small Weddings can take up to 6-8 weeks.
I will do my absolute best to get them to you as soon as possible, but please do not rush me.
6. What is your editing style?
I feel like it is always changing with each location and type of photoshoot I do, but I do LOVE bold, deep colors.
Remember you are choosing me because you LOVE my editing style, and that is what your photos will look like as well.
7. Do you use filters or presets?
No, everything is hand edited.
8. Do you have recent photoshoots we can see?
Absolutely! Head on over to my Facebook page or Instagram. You can find those direct links at the top and bottom of this page.
9. What is your pricing?
Every photoshoot is different, so please send me an email at jessicamckelviephotography@gmail.com or click 'Contact' up top to send me a message on any questions!
10. Can you Photoshop me/us?
The easiest way to say this is...no. You will look the way you look, plain and simple.
I will do my best to smooth out skin, any bruises, some blemishes, and make everything look natural, but you will look like yourself.
If you are not happy with the way you look, you most likely will not like your photos no matter who takes them, and I would encourage you to reconsider your expectations, before you have professional pictures taken. I take pride in being a Photographer, not a plastic surgeon :)
If you have any other questions, that's what I am here for, shoot me a message!
I can't wait to meet ya!
